The ARMDOCT project addresses an urgent need in Reforming Doctoral Education (DE) in Armenia in line with the Salzburg Principles with the emphasis on policy, legal framework (including by-laws) and institutional procedures supporting integrative and internationally-oriented doctoral studies involving universities, research institutions and industry.
The action foresees:
The action is complemented by extensive dissemination and networking activities. The 15-member partnership comprises 4 HEIs from the European Union, 8 HEIs and 2 INCA and MECA. The expected impact at the international and national levels is seen as a contribution to the reform and modernization of doctoral education, in line with the Salzburg principles, allowing for better integration in the areas of European higher education and European research. The precise and clear institutional guidelines and procedures for doctoral studies will improve the transparency and accountability of institutions.
The Armenian Ministry's involvement ensures the impact of the project at the political level and provides modernization of national development strategies.
