Covid 19 - Phase 3. The University of Teramo restarts

The University of Teramo has defined the new organizational measures for the prevention of COVID-19 infection, concerning the resumption of in-presence activities.

All didactic activities (lessons, exercises, laboratory activities) are scheduled in different time slots and days in order to manage affluence in buildings and common areas on a daily basis, with the minimum possible level of crowding. In particular, the start/end times of classes are differentiated so as not to allow an excessive simultaneous presence of students in the corridors and common areas.

The University of Teramo has issued the "Guidelines for managing the resumption of teaching activities" document for the Academic Year 2020-21, which includes indications for anyone entering the University. The whole community of the University of Teramo - students, teachers and administrative staff - must strictly comply with the provisions of these Guidelines.

Life on Campus

Before arriving on Campus

If you have a fever above 37.5 °, or respiratory infection symptoms (cough, cold), DO NOT come to the University.

Entrance

Enter the Campus only through the entrances marked by signs and equipped with a thermo-scanner for measuring body temperature. In case of temperatures above 37.5 ° you will not be able to enter.

Mask

You must always - for the entire time of your stay - wear a mask on the University of Teramo Campus.

Sanitizing gel

Remember to sanitize your hands often. You will find dispensers at the entrances and at the points of greatest frequency.

Walking lanes

To move around Campus, follow the directions (stickers on the ground and signs) that will show you the "travel lanes" to reach the classrooms, libraries, offices, cafeteria, etc.

Reception and surveillance service

At the entrances, in the main corridors and common areas at risk of high crowding you will be helped by the staff who, in addition to providing you with information, will facilitate the flow of affluence, preventing overcrowding. In addition, the staff will be present at classroom entraces in order to regulate the entrances to the classroom, verifying the actual and correct enrollment in the course.

Didactic and Teaching

Lessons

The first semester lessons will restart in "presence". The number of seats in the classrooms is reduced to allow for the spacing required by the emergency. The University has identified, for each course, the classrooms that should contain all the students.

However, the prevention protocols and management procedures for any COVID-19 cases require universities to equip themselves with systems that make it possible to know the names of the students enrolled in each course and each lesson with reference to the classroom and day.

For this purpose, regardless of the completion of enrollment/enrollment, if you want to attend a lesson you will need to book a place in the classroom.

The registration procedures will be available on: https://www.unite.it/UniTE/Iscrizione_lezioni

Exams

For "face-to-face" exams you will be convened at different times, so as not to have more than 8-10 students in the classroom at the same time. In this way, it is easier to safeguard the necessary distance between the candidate who is being examined, while an adequate number of students will be able to attend the exam.

During the oral exam, a distance of at least 2 meters between the candidate and the examining commission will be guaranteed.

Degrees

The graduation exam takes place in person. During the examination, access to accompanying persons will be allowed only to the extent that the number does not exceed the capacity provided in the classrooms by the anti-COVID legislation.

Student reception by teachers

Teachers will receive students both in presence and remotely by making an appointment via email.

Students with disabilities

Students with disabilities are allowed, for the purpose of carrying out didactic activities, the presence of any assistants. For both assisted and assistant, an exception to certain requirements is permitted if the specific conditions do not allow compliance.

In such cases, the COVID Contact Person and the Disability Delegate will indicate specific behaviors and measures that make it possible to maintain an adequate level of safety in compliance with the specificity of the student's condition.
